Sayeed Ibrahim Ahmed
Sayeed Ibrahim Ahmed is a finance enthusiast with a vast array of experience in engineering design, capital markets, and project management. He has a B.A.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto, Canada, where he was awarded the Lester B. Pearson Entrance Scholarship. During his time at the University of Toronto, he was part of research projects which involved reducing soot formation from diesel engines and utilizing injection molding for manufacturing parts for large scale vehicles, primarily aircraft structures. Afterwards he worked as a Financial Analyst for Academic Nexus (later on rebranded to become 6ix), a start-up in the heart of downtown Toronto, involving IPO advisory, identifying potential companies within the Toronto Stock Exchange and advising small to medium companies on investment related issues. He also graduated with Distinction from the University of Kent, UK with a MSc in Finance, Investment and Risk and subsequently went on to study for his second MSc in Investment & Wealth Management from Imperial College London, UK, focusing on fund management and asset allocation. He has worked for Standard Chartered Bank along with Pratt & Whitney Canada as an intern during his university days alongside carrying out research on Microcellular Plastics and Combustion Engine Design at the University of Toronto. In addition to this, he worked as an Investment Analyst for AB Investment Ltd, a subsidiary of AB Bank, whereby he was responsible conducting research on the pharmaceutical and banking sector stocks within the Dhaka Stock Exchange, after which he has been successfully consulting clients as a discretionary portfolio manager in the capital market segment of Bangladesh. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Finance at American International University- Bangladesh (AIUB) whilst also serving as the Chairman of Stallion Capital Ltd.
